What Actually Matters for Your Wedding DJ

Forget the sales pitch about "creating magical memories" - here's what actually matters when you're booking a wedding DJ:

Experience reading different age groups. Your wedding reception will have your twenty-something mates who want current chart music alongside your parents' friends who haven't been to a party since 1987. A good DJ keeps both groups happy without alienating either. That's harder than it sounds.

Proper equipment that won't fail. We maintain professional-grade gear (Pioneer, Bose, Chauvet, Yamaha) and carry backup equipment. Your wedding only happens once - equipment failure isn't acceptable.

Flexibility with timing. Speeches run over. The meal takes longer than expected. Your first dance gets delayed because half the wedding party is still outside. We adapt to your actual timeline, not the one you optimistically wrote six months ago.

Taking requests without losing control. Your guests will request songs. Some requests are brilliant, some would empty the dancefloor immediately, and some are really inappropriate!. We take requests seriously but filter them through what's actually working on the night.

Adding Karaoke to Your Wedding Reception

Some couples love the idea of karaoke at their wedding. Others are horrified. There's no right answer - it depends entirely on your guests.

If you've got a crowd who'll actually use it (your mates regularly do karaoke at pubs, your family love singing, you've got that uncle who does a legendary Sinatra impression), it can be brilliant entertainment during or after the main dancing. If your guests are more reserved, it might sit unused all night.

Karaoke can be included in any package. We bring a huge music library, professional microphones, and screens displaying lyrics. It's set up alongside the disco so people can switch between dancing and singing as they fancy.
